Part 3 will draw a clean line to the southern oceans. The route will step from the savannahs into desert country, cross the Kalahari and the Namib, and follow long gravel sections past salt pans and canyons before turning south toward the Cape. Borders and permits will be prepared ahead of time. Daily distances will be measured and will leave room for light, wildlife, and quiet.
Stays will focus on characterful lodges and small camps selected for location and calm. Navigation will run on the offline roadbook with live tracking. The organisation will remain active in the background. Convoy etiquette will guide speed and spacing in fragile environments. Vehicle checks will be planned at sensible intervals.
The finale will gather on empty roads through mountain folds and coastal fynbos before the last approach to the Cape. It will feel unhurried and certain. Steady miles, a considered place to sleep each night, and the clear sense of a continent completed.
The fourth stage, from Arusha to Cape Town can only be driven with a 4WD. Think of a Land Rover Defender or similar.
