Part 2 carried the journey from the Horn into the heart of East Africa. The road stepped from highland plateaus to the Rift Valley, linked lakes and escarpments, and threaded national parks where the pace dropped and the light did the work. Borders were prepared in advance, permits arranged, and daily stages balanced distance with time to pause. Accommodation focused on characterful lodges and small camps chosen for location and calm.

Navigation ran on the offline roadbook with live tracking, while the organisation stayed active in the background. Convoy etiquette kept dust and wildlife in mind, and vehicle checks were scheduled at sensible intervals. It was confident, unhurried overlanding: long views in the morning, a considered place to sleep at night, and the steady feeling of a continent taking shape under the wheels.
